Hi! I'm Meelis. This is my wiki about growing startups with an emphasis on product-led growth.
I created it for my own use initially. But I hope you'll find it useful as well.
You can connect with me on Twitter (@meelis_o), Medium, or LinkedIn.
I sometimes also run deep-dive workshops on growth, engagement, pricing, and experimentation.
Why Create A Wiki?
I've always liked to research and organize information. While doing marketing for companies like Pipedrive and Amazon, I noticed I always came back to the same mental models and frameworks while some other ones weren't working for me. So, I started organizing the former into a wiki.
Later I moved from marketing to product management and also co-founded several startups. I initially only covered marketing but growing a business is so much more than marketing.
So, this wiki is about growing startups with an emphasis on product loops: growth loops, habit loops, and feedback loops. The first two are sometimes also called product-led growth.
The Principles of This Wiki
- Make it useful for me personally (great if others find it useful too);
- Limit the noise;
- only the most useful mental models;
- only evergreen content.
- Focus on software companies (especially SaaS and B2B).
Organization of Topics
I've kept topics like marketing and sales, etc. under separate categories because this is how companies are usually organized. And it's how people think of themselves ("I'm a marketing guy").
The emphasis on the wiki is on thinking in loops tho.
